Busy mums are prime target for mobile marketing

Research company Scarborough reveals how mums are a highly important target group for mobile marketers. The report, which was written on the back of research carried out in the US, claims that working mothers are 42 percent more likely to download content on to their mobiles.

The working mums audience is lucrative because of their key role within the buying decision unit and because they are direct income earners with busy on-the-go lifestyles, who are more likely to be using mobiles.

The research shows how working mums spend more on their monthly mobile phone bill. They spend a monthly $94, which is significantly higher than the average bill of $78.

The group is also price sensitive and in search of a good deal; working mums are 46 percent more likely than the average adult to get coupons from email or text messages.
