New Research Shows High Response to US SMS Advertising

Mobile phone advertising is increasing and the young (18 to 24 year olds) are most likely to respond to the ads.

33% of American mobile phone users have received mobile ads in 2008, according to Brand Week. Whilst 41% of iphone users have received ads.

SMS has increased 16% since 2007, and remains the most popular advertising method via the mobile. A third of those receiving messages respond in some way to the message. And women were twice as likely respond to the ads compared to men.
