The guidelines consist of best practices for mobile advertising across the different mobile media channels, including web, messaging, downloadable applications and video currently used form mobile marketing.
They included standardised global formats in the aim of promoting mobile marketing and advertising throughout the industry.

Mark Brill, chair of the DMA's (Direct Marketing Association) mobile council commented: "It's good to see the continuing development of best practice throughout the mobile marketing industry. These new MMA guidelines compliment the DMA's best practice guidelines for mobile marketing."
